About Us
Get to Know Stockyard Style
Hey there! I’m Emily and I am the founder and owner-operator of Stockyard Style. I started this business in the summer of 2009 in my living room in a Waco, Texas, just a few months after graduating from Texas A&M’s agricultural communications program.
Those of you who have followed Stockyard Style for a long time may remember that I first went into business selling beaded necklaces and earrings and lots of livestock pendants and accessories that I made by hand. We’ve come a long way baby!
Stockyard Style’s 2,000 square foot brick and mortar shop is located just a few minutes outside of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, and this is where we run our e-commerce operations and prep for about two dozen trade shows each year.
If you haven’t shopped with us locally, you may have seen our booth at some of the biggest and best livestock shows and trade shows on the eastern half of the country: World Dairy Expo, PA Farm Show, Keystone International Livestock Expo, National FFA Convention, Horse World Expo, North American International Livestock Expo, Great American Outdoor Show, and more.
We're a fashion-forward, ranch boutique
My employees and I are proud to run a fashion-forward farm and ranch boutique that blends some of today’s top names in Western Wear along with a unique line of original design farm animal apparel, jewelry, home décor and accessories. When you shop Stockyard Style, you can expect to receive high quality merchandise from a fun and family-friendly team.
Our brands
We retail Panhandle Western Wear, Rock & Roll Denim, Powder River Outfitters, Roper Boots and Apparel, Lane Boots, Tin Haul Boots, STS Ranch Wear, Hooey hats, apparel, and gear, Montana Silversmiths jewelry and accessories, Twisted X footwear, hats, and belts, Farm Boy Farm Girl kids clothing and hats, and several boutique brands such as Umgee, Vision, Corky's, and Jodifl to name a few.
Jewelry
Our jewelry collection features both handcrafted sterling silver and turquoise – the kinds of pieces that become family heirlooms - as well as manufactured jewelry that is inspired by the latest in Western style.
Meet the team
When you come into our shop or one of our trade show booths, you will most likely see my family lending me a hand. Josie and Gentry – my two little cowkids – are big helpers and love to greet customers and make some suggestions to influence your purchasing (most likely their current favorite stuffed animal, cow dress, or pair of driving mocs). My husband Troy is a full-time ag teacher and FFA advisor, so you probably only see him on the weekends and evenings but he is busy fabricating much of our home décor line. We live over the mountain from the store in Halifax and have a few acres nestled on a quiet ridge where we raise beef, hogs, and lambs.
I grew up in agriculture, as a 4-H and FFA member and showing Simmental breeding cattle competitively across the United States. I try to use my knowledge and experience in farming to bring the most realistic pieces into our shop that I can. You won’t find many cartoon farm animals at Stockyard Style and that is something that our customers appreciate! We hope you appreciate that too.
Thank you for taking the time to get to know us – we hope to get to meet you in person soon!
